Ibebenta ng Philippine Red Cross (PRC) sa publiko ang Moderna COVID-19 vaccine sa halagang P3,500 para sa 2 doses kapag dumating na ang mga bakunang in-order nito sa susunod na buwan.

Sa dinaluhang forum ng Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines, sinabi ni PRC chairman na si Senator Richard Gordon na  bumili sila ng 200,000 doses ng bakuna sa pamamagitan ng billionaire businessman na si Enrique Razon.

“If we are going to wait for the government’s vaccines to come, we’re going to be late. So those of you who cannot wait, you pay P3,500 and that’s two doses already,” anang senador.

Nilinaw ni Sen. Gordon na hindi gumagawa ng pera ang PRC dahil isa itong humanitarian organization. Nais lamang umano nilang mabawi ang nagastos sa pagbili ng bakuna at gagastusin sa gagawing pagbabakuna.

”I’d like to set the record straight. Right now, we will be charging ?3,500 to recover the cost of our payment of our vaccines from Moderna. But at the same time pay for our administrative cost. We have to have PPEs, we have to have our people fed and they have to have support in terms of the vaccination. And if you count the other things like electricity, and the ambulance, etc., I think that’s a fair thing do,” paliwanag pa niya.
